Phyllis Dargel – Nitz has been a proud owner of this storage and boat repair business since 1999 after buying it from a dear family friend. Phyllis and her late husband Harold quickly became aware the beautiful lake nearby had limited access to public boat ramps and no handicap access, The Dargel’s contacted North Carolina’s wildlife commission about making the lake more accessible to people with disabilities. The Dargel family donated the funding to build the first handicap access public ramps with docks on Lake Glenville.

Harold and Phyllis Dargel had a dream to make it possible for everyone to have access to the majestic mountain top lake. The Dargel’s were thankful that they were able to give back to their community.
